Dean stumbles out of the woods, his senses assaulted by the deafening roar of helicopter blades slicing through the air. The cabin comes into view, bathed in the harsh glow of searchlights, and he sees the helicopter hovering just above the treetops, its presence both a beacon of hope and a harbinger of dread.
As he approaches, Dean notices EMTs loading a body onto a gurney, securely fastened to a rope that snakes up to the waiting aircraft. His heart pounds in his chest as he rushes towards the men, desperate for answers. Suddenly, one of the EMTs steps forward, pushing Dean to the ground with a force that knocks the wind from his lungs.
"Dean Howard? Are you the one who called 911?" the man asks, his voice stern and authoritative.
"Yes!" Dean gasps, struggling to catch his breath. "Is Judy okay?"
The EMT nods, his expression unreadable. "She's alright. We were able to stabilize her, but we need to move fast. She's lost a lot of blood."
Dean's mind reels, flashing back to the nightmarish scene in the woods. "Her body was gone... I followed her into the woods. There was a trail of blood."
The EMT frowns, pulling out a penlight and shining it into Dean's eyes, examining his pupils. "You're in shock, Dean. You've been through a lot."
The man guides Dean towards the gurney, but as they approach, Dean realizes with growing horror that it's empty. "Where's Judy? She's not here!"
Suddenly, the EMT's grip tightens, and he forces Dean onto the gurney, strapping him down with a strength that defies human capability. Dean thrashes against the restraints, panic rising in his throat as he stares up at the man's face, now twisted into a grotesque parody of a smile.
"The harvest will be delicious this year," the man hisses, his tongue elongating and his skin turning a sickly, translucent white.
"A fine harvest," another voice chimes in, as more figures emerge from the shadows, their features distorted and inhuman. "The best we've had in years. The desire in this one was great."
Dean screams, his voice raw and desperate, but the sound is swallowed by the roar of the helicopter and the cruel laughter of the creatures surrounding him.
